Safety and Environment

The safety, health and environmental coordinator for the Organic Chemistry Laboratory (LOC) and HCI is Mr. Thomas Mäder. He is also responsible for the laboratory infrastructure in the HCI and for liquid chromatographic services in the LOC.

In an emergency, all species Tel 888 (Emergency Operations Center staffed around the clock)

• Operating Erstintervention: Fire and Betriebssanitäterequippe
• Distributed under its own decision Erstintervention: Anywhere in the corridor are emergency niches (containing various extinguishing agents, eyes and body shower, telephone, fire alarm) by pressing a button. Simple feedstocks (fire escape hood, dressing material, blankets, chemical binders, special gloves, barrier tape, etc.) is in an emergency cabinet before D312 available. For in an emergency is also in the evac sets ever a fire escape hood.
• All events and accidents must be reported to the hotline.

Service on the laboratory infrastructure / laboratory safety inspections

Every two years running in the laboratories and equipment rooms in the HCI of the servicing and maintenance service to the laboratory infrastructure. The laboratory service is also always a safety commission. After each execution of a detailed report is written. Technical shortcomings in the laboratory infrastructure may be reported to the hotline.
