Prof. Dr. Alois Fürstner
It is with great pleasure that the Laboratory for Organic Chemistry award the 2011 Prelog Medal and Lectureship to Professor Dr. Alois Fürstner in recognition of his major contributions to organic chemistry.
Professor Fürstner, who is managing director of the Max-Planck-Institut für Kohlenforschung Germany, is renowned for his contributions to catalysis and the synthesis of complex, bioactive natural products.
