Dr. Ebert, Marc-Olivier

Marc-Olivier Ebert was born in Zürich. From 1994 to 1999 he studied chemistry at ETH. He did his diploma thesis in the group of Prof. Donald Hilvert. For his doctoral thesis he joined the group of Prof. Bernhard Jaun at the same institution where he worked on the structure determination of non-natural nucleic acids by NMR spectroscopy. After two years of post-doctoral stay at the Scripps Research Institute in the laboratory of Peter Wright and Jane Dyson he went to the University of Innsbruck in 2005. There he spent  three years as lecturer in organic chemistry and NMR spectroscopy. In Summer 2008 he returned to the Laboratory of Organic Chemistry where he holds a position as NMR facility manager and habilitand associated with the group of Prof. Bernhard Jaun. His research interests are NMR spectroscopy and molecular simulation applied to problems of (bio)molecular structure and dynamics.
